Burmese migrants fuel Thailand’s huge fishing industry in Samut Sakhon province, an hour outside of Bangkok. Nearly a quarter of a million of workers from poor villages in Burma are vulnerable to exploitation by traffickers and lack access to legal protection. The Solidarity Center supports local NGOs to train migrant workers about their legal rights and access health and social services.
